State Rep. Mark Takai raised $119,471 during the third quarter filing period for his bid for Congress.
Takai’s campaign said 92 percent of his donations were from people living in Hawaii and 87 percent were from people who donated $100 or less.
Takai is running against state Sen. Will Espero, Honolulu City Councilmen Ikaika Anderson and Stanley Chang, and activist Kathryn Xian in the Democratic primary to replace Rep. Colleen Hanabusa, who is running for the U.S. Senate against incumbent Brian Schatz.
