A traffic accident between a Jeep and a school bus carrying at least 40 first graders on Tuesday afternoon sent several kids to the hospital, including one 7-year-old girl in serious condition.

Hawaii News Now reported that the kids were on a field trip when their school bus was hit by a Jeep swerving to avoid debris on Moanalua Freeway on H201 near Salt Lake. The news outlet reported that 12 people are being treated for minor injuries.

KITV reported that the chaperones and bus driver were not injured and that a 7-year-old girl has been hospitalized for serious injuries.
