Talking Points Memo has this report stating, “The Illinois legislature is drawing close to voting Tuesday on a long-stalled gay marriage bill, according to media reports.”
The bill was passed by the Illinois Senate in February, “but failed to pass the House when its regular session ended in May. … Illinois would be on track to be the 15th state to legalize gay marriage if the legislation is approved.”
Meanwhile, the Hawaii Legislature is in its second week of a special session considering same-sex marriage legislation.
