Neil Abercrombie needs more money in his re-election bid, it seems. He is now holding his fourth fundraiser in 30 days and his eighth this year.

Maybe David Ige is a serious Democratic primary contender after all?

The guv’s latest fundraiser is tonight at 828 Fort Street Mall, Suite 600. (Google tells me that that is the office of Oceanit Laboratories.) Suggested contribution: $500 to $1,000.

The governor’s LG, Shan Tsutsui, has a fundraiser of his own set for Dec. 4 in Hilo. A mere $250 will get you in the door.

It will Tsutsui’s third fundraiser in three months and his sixth this year, though he thus far faces no opponent.
