Fuddy, who died last week in a plane crash off Kaulapapa, was appointed in December 2010 as first deputy director of the DOH and then as its director in March 2011.
According to the administration, she previously served as chair of the Hawaii Public Health Association, president of the Association of State and Territorial Public Health Social Workers, treasurer and secretary of the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs and as a member of the Policy Committee of the Association of State and Territorial Health Officers.
The governor will attend a visitation service for Fuddy at 10 a.m. at Co-Cathedral of Saint Theresa.
