Gov. Neil Abercrombie has announced the appointment of Patricia Kim Park to the Judicial Selection Commission. She fills the vacancy left by Jeffrey Portnoy,who stepped down last week following his appointment to the University of Hawaii Board of Regents

Park is graduate of Kahuku High School, the University of Hawaii and the University of Michigan Law School. She began her career as a law clerk to Hawaii Supreme Court Justice Jack Mizuha and has served as a deputy attorney general, deputy prosecuting attorney and per diem judge at the Honolulu District Court.
