The Hawaii State Teacher’s Association wants U.S. Rep. Colleen Hanabusa in the U.S. Senate.
HSTA’s executive board voted unanimously to recommend Hanabusa, who is running in the Democratic primary against Sen. Brian Schatz.
HSTA represents about 13,500 teachers in Hawaii.
“Our members know Colleen, they respect her proven record of leadership on the issues that matter most to them. … We trust her to help us look after Hawaii’s children and prepare them to lead our community into the future,” said Wil Okabe, HSTA president.
