Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell endorsed Gov. Neil Abercrombie for re-election on Monday morning, stressing their good working relationship.

In a staged photo-op, the governor and mayor greeted each other in the middle of a crosswalk on Punchbowl Street, perhaps symbolizing their ability to reach “middle ground” on issues.
