Honolulu Rail Car Stolen from City Hall Christmas Display
A toy rail car that HART employees placed under a Christmas tree at Honolulu Hale as part of a decorating contest has disappeared.

A theft at Honolulu Hale has one high-ranking official calling the culprit a Grinch.
On Tuesday, Deputy Managing Director Georgette Deemer posted a picture to her Instagram account saying that someone stole a toy railcar from a Christmas tree display at city hall.

The tree was decorated by the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation as part of the city’s annual Christmas celebration.
Not surprisingly they incorporated an elevated train track around the base that we hope cost less than the $5.2 billion currently budgeted for the real thing.
Not sure what the theft of the rail car means, but maybe not everyone is as excited about the project as Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell.
Or maybe it was just a kid.
