When it comes to overall driver satisfaction, Honolulu finishes dead last in a rating of U.S. metropolitan areas, according to data from the navigation app Waze.

“Anyone who’s ever visited the Hawaiian capital knows that driving there can be downright miserable,” writes Tim Stenovec in Tech Insider.

Waze goes beyond just traffic congestion to consider “other factors that may affect driver happiness like density of accidents, road conditions, density of services like gas stations, and gas prices,” the article states.

Waze rated Phoenix No. 1 in the country for driver satisfaction, while areas joining Honolulu on the bottom five included Portland, Ohio; Baton Rouge, Louisiana; San Diego and Fort Meyers, Florida.
