More props for the Big Pineapple this week, this time from Condé Nast Traveler, which says Honolulu is the seventh-best big U.S. city.
That’s according to Best Big Cities in the U.S.: Readers’ Choice Awards 2015.

Here’s what they said about us:
Considered the Crossroads of the Pacific, Honolulu is one of the country’s most beautiful capital cities—and one of its most diverse, too, home to South Pacific, Asian, and European influences. It’s more than a little exotic, all without leaving American soil. Grab a bubble tea from Chinatown before heading up Manoa Falls Trail in Barack Obama’s old neighborhood of Makiki Heights, or explore ‘Iolani, the U.S.’s only royal palace.
No mention of our reputation as homeless capital of the world.
Or the occasional smothering blanket of vog.
Interestingly, Honolulu edged out Austin, Texas, and Seattle. Hmmm.
The top three cities are New York, San Francisco and Chicago. Duh.
