Civil Beat columnist Ian Lind has this post on his blog about the latest with U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard.

Bloomberg’s article — Insurrection Erupts at the Democratic National Committee — says the congresswoman from Hawaii is getting lots of Democratic Party support in her challenge to Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schulz of Florida, who chairs the Democratic National Committee.

Gabbard is a DNC vice chair, and, as Civil Beat reported Friday, their dispute over presidential debates has gone viral.

Lind also notes that Gabbard has a new legislative director, who replaces Wendy Yasuko Clerinx.

Christine Wagner replaced Clerinx as Gabbard’s policy director this month, which Lind says is a sign that Gabbard is “beefing up” her office’s expertise in defense and foreign policy issues.

UPDATE: Erika Tsuji, Gabbard’s state communications director, says Wagner is an interim appointment until the position is filled.
