Get ready, AYSO parents: The champion U.S. Women’s National Team is coming to Hawaii.
The Hawaii Tourism Authority made the announcement Thursday.
In July, the team beat Japan to take the title of 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup Champion.
The team is now on a victory tour. It will play Trinidad and Tobago at Aloha Stadium, to be broadcast on Fox Sports 1 and FOX Sports GO.
George D. Szigeti, HTA president and CEO, said in a press release, “With our year-round temperate climate, Hawaii is an ideal location to host this premier sporting event. We look forward to welcoming the team, their families and the fans to experience the Hawaiian Islands. Soccer is one of the most popular sports worldwide and having the USWNT here will showcase our ability to host sporting events of this caliber.”
