Ohio Gov. John Kasich is the third Republican presidential candidate to land on Hawaii’s caucus ballot.
The March 8 vote already includes real estate mogul Donald Trump and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.
Kasich’s local leadership team includes former congressman Charles Djou as chair, and former state senator Fred Rohlfing.

Hawaii GOP Executive Director Marcia Tagavilla said in a press release, “We welcome all Republican Presidential campaigns to Hawaii. We look forward to other Republican Presidential candidates competing for Hawaii’s 16 GOP Convention delegates and helping build voter turnout for the March 8 Caucuses.”
Locally, their are efforts to support Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and other GOP candidates.
First, of course, the contenders must get through a month-plus of elections beginning in Iowa Feb. 1.
