Kirk Caldwell continues to rack up labor support in his re-election campaign.
This week, Honolulu’s mayor won the support of Hawaii Teamsters and Allied Workers Local 996 and the State of Hawaii Organization of Police Officers.

“We are endorsing Mayor Caldwell because he has proven his leadership in managing our city,” said Teamsters President Ron Kozuma. “Mayor Caldwell not only understands and respects the importance of the hard working men and women in Honolulu, he has also demonstrated his commitment to provide good jobs and a stable economic environment to build a strong future for our families.”
SHOPO President Tenari Maafala said, “Mayor Caldwell’s extensive background in leading our city, and the Legislature, makes him the best candidate for the job.”
