It’s been a busy couple of days for the mayor of Honolulu.

Kirk Caldwell was in San Francisco to barter with the feds over rail funding.

He wrangled a photo-op with the Commander In Chief at the Hickam-Pearl Harbor tarmac.

And he’s got a press conference Friday to talk about a hurricane named Lester.

Caldwell also managed to squeeze in three campaign fundraisers over the past week, too.

One was Aug. 24 at the Pacific Club (suggested donation: $2,000), another was Aug. 25 at 800 South Beretania St. ($100 to $150) and the last one was scheduled for Thursday at what appears to be the Gold Coast home of a Honolulu attorney ($1,000).

For those keeping track (e.g., me), this is Caldwell’s 41st campaign fundraiser since early 2013.

Caldwell is running for re-election against Charles Djou.
