Gee, it’s been a few weeks since I blogged anything from the folks at WalletHub.
Time’s up!
With the holidays upon us, the prolific financial services website has a report on which cities care the most in America.
We are No. 5. Some stats of note:
- 2nd — Caring for the Community
- 15th – Child Poverty Rate
- 3rd – Student-Teacher Ratio
- 10th – Violent Crime Rate
- 10th – Care for the Environment

WalletHub’s analysts compared the 100 largest U.S. cities across 32 key metrics ranging from “homelessness rate” to “percentage of income donated to charity” to “special-education teachers per capita.”
The most-caring cities are Madison, Wisconsin; Lincoln, Nebraska; Virginia Beach, Virginia; and Boise, Idaho.
The least caring are San Bernardino, Calif.; Laredo, Texas; Detroit, Michigan; Fresno, Calif.; and Stockton, Calif.
