In August, Caleb Hartsfield, who’s been drawing cartoons and doing illustrations for us the past year, headed to the mainland where his girlfriend is attending a fine arts college. We thought that was a good opportunity for Caleb, who’s never strayed this far from his Waipahu home, to help us understand what it must be like for a Hawaii boy to suddenly find himself in the Big City. This is the first installment of a regular cartoon feature as Caleb turns his artist eye to life as a stranger in a very strange land.
