Our next pop-up newsroom will be in the North Shore community.
Join Civil Beat reporters, editors and engagement team members at our pop-up newsroom at the Historic Haleiwa Gym on Friday.
We’ll be there from noon to 7 p.m. and would love to hear more about what you think we should be covering in your community.
The gym is located at 66-434 Kamehameha Highway. That’s also the home of the Waialua Community Association.
Check out the kinds of stories we’ve been hearing about — and writing about — here. And then drop by and let us know what’s on your mind.
This story came out of a Civil Beat pop-up newsroom. The traveling newsroom events are supported by the Hawaii Community Foundation and the League of Women Voters of Honolulu Education Fund.

What it means to support Civil Beat.
Supporting Civil Beat means you’re investing in a newsroom that can devote months to investigate corruption. It means we can cover vulnerable, overlooked communities because those stories matter. And, it means we serve you. And only you.
Donate today and help sustain the kind of journalism Hawaiʻi cannot afford to lose.
